Larimar & mother of pearl pendant (1)

 

Larimar 實在太美麗, 1cm 平方內竟可表現出無限的海洋視覺. 令人有舒暢及平靜感覺. 鑲在相關連的貝母上, 更突出其漂亮的藍色. 無論吊咀或介指, 最好是鑲通心, 使larimar可直接接觸帶者, 從而享受其付予之serenity & inner peace.

Larimar is really beautiful, especially their oceanic blue. They give you feeling of calmness & relax even though in a tiny piece. In order to connected with ocean, I mounted larimar with mother of pearl. It make it’s blue more eye catching. When mounting larimar, it is better to open the back that wearer could directly contact with it. So, wearer could be fills with serenity and inner peace.

 

    

AMBER ACCESSORY MAKING CLASS

金黃婆羅乃柯巴Golden Borneo Copal

 

買了3kg的婆羅乃柯巴, 盡見前文所見的實色或深啡透明, 60多件原礦裡只有這一件是金黄透明,

6 rings

I had made 6 rings. The ring is stainless steel with square shape. I used the small chips from Dominica amber, Borneo & Blatic one. The Blatic one are the original sea amber.

過程 PROCESS

從一件原礦、打磨拋光、到成為一件吊咀. 打磨前約30g, 吊咀現在20g.
This is the process from a raw amber, polished & be an pendant. Weight of the pendant is 20g. I forgot to measure the weight before polished, it was approx. 30g.

 

中國琥珀?? China Amber?

中國琥珀只有潦寕省的撫順出產, 由於撫順也是產煤區, 故此渗有雜色不出為奇, 撫順的金黃透明琥珀更稀有及珍貴. 購入這批琥珀的時候, 店主稱是中國來的. 雖然質地很相似, 有紅、黑及帶樹紋花珀. 始終還有點保留是否中國琥珀, 因與婆羅洲的幾相近.

When I bought this lot of amber, seller said that it is from China. Although the texture are quite silmilar, they has difference colors of red, black, mixture of brown & white. I'm still doubtful if they are from China. Since the texture is a bit close to Broneo's one.
p.s. In China, the only place produce amber is in FuShun of  Liaoning Province, where also produce coal. So it is very usual that the amber mixed with other texture & colors. The golden clear one is very rare.


